Keyword tracking: the searches we listen to

How to track keywords: where and how often we look for conversations, what each column means, your plan's limit and how to receive the email alerts.

In the console: Social listening › Keyword trackingOpen in the console

Step by step

  1. Check at the top how many keywords you track against your plan's limit.
  2. Press “Add keyword”, type at least three characters and press “Track it”.
  3. Read the “Leads”, “Unanswered” and “Best position” on Google for each keyword in the table.
  4. Watch “Next fetch in” to see when it searches again.
  5. Press “View threads” to open that keyword's conversations.
  6. Turn on “Email alerts” for a daily digest, or press “Set up Slack or a webhook”.

Where and how often we search

We search Reddit and Quora for the conversations Google shows for each keyword. Keywords per plan: Starter 20, Growth 75 and Enterprise 200. Frequency: Starter every 24 h, Growth every 6 h and Enterprise every 6 h.

Facebook is not available: most of its groups are private and Google does not show their conversations.

Paused keywords and volume

If you go over your plan's limit, the extra keywords stay saved and paused, and resume if you upgrade. Volume is measured only for words that are also a prompt's search.
