It is calculated like the mention rate, with the same denominator, but it only counts answers in which the AI advises the brand: “I would recommend X”, “X is a good fit for your case”.

It exists because naming is not recommending. “We do not recommend Nubaria for freelancers” contains the brand and is not a favourable result. A brand can have a high mention rate and a low recommendation rate, and that gap is often the most useful line in the report.

Publish it with its numbers (“5 of 22”) and keep the original answer at hand, because deciding what counts as a recommendation means reading it.
