Competitors: your brand against the rest

How to use Competitors: the leaderboard by visibility, the positioning matrix, a metric by metric comparison and how to add, discover or hide brands.

In the console: AI search › CompetitorsOpen in the console

Step by step

  1. In “Leaderboard”, see where you stand against your competitors, ranked by visibility.
  2. Choose “Period” and “Models” to narrow the leaderboard when they are available.
  3. Open a row's menu to “Compare”, “View its sentiment” or “Hide”.
  4. In “Positioning matrix”, place each brand between visibility and sentiment; the bubble grows with its share of voice.
  5. In “Compare”, add up to three competitors and read the “Metric comparison” and the prompts where you are “Behind”.
  6. In “Manage”, add a competitor by its domain or press “Discover competitors”.

What each column means

  • Visibility: the share of evaluable answers that name each brand.
  • Share of voice: its part of the mentions of the brands you track.
  • Sentiment: from 0 to 100, the favourable sentences among the favourable and unfavourable ones.
  • Questions with mentions: how many prompts have answers that name that brand.

Hiding deletes nothing

Hiding takes a brand out of share of voice, the leaderboard, the comparison and future measurements. Earlier reports keep their data, and you bring it back with “Show” from “Excluded”.
